Traits

Halo
A bosprit's halo can be any colour or shape that matches it's spirit colour. Halos are always a glowing outline, and may be recognisable simple symbols (eg. hearts, stars, shapes)

Halos must not be alpha-numeric characters, including letters, numbers, # or @ for example. They also must not be solid shapes or any religious iconography.

Skull
Any small bird skull is acceptable - for example finch, sparrow, pigeon, swift, jay, wren or hummingbird. There is quite a lot of variety here, but bosprits don't generally get larger than a crow or gull.

No large bird of prey, hornbill, waterfowl or large seabird skulls. In general, any bird larger than a raven will be too large.

Feet
Bosprit feet are loosely based of insect feet. The generally have two gripping claws, but may have any number of spines, segments or fluff. For reference, look at beetle, moth and spider feet.

Bosprit feet must not resemble a vertbrates. No paws, talons or hooves.

Wings
Bosprit must have a pair of wings. These are most commonly bird wings. A variety of wing types are possible - look at sparrow, swift or hummingbirds for some possible shapes. Bat wings are possible but very rare.

Wings should not be too large - no eagle or albatross wingspans.
Tails
Bosprit tails are either reptilian or rodent-like. Some good references are geckos, small skinks, bearded dragons, rats and mice.

Their tails are never fully furry or fluffy, although there may be tufts near the base of the tail.
